Moth StorySlam at Circus!

If you guys have never attended the Moth story slam in Detroit, you really need to check out the Moth's newest version of it, right here in Ann Arbor! It's like an open mic comedy night where people just tell stories centered around a particular theme. Unlike amateur comedy nights, almost all of them are extremely entertaining. You can of course sign up to tell your own story, if you have the chutzpah to pull it off.
The theme for October’s stories is "Creepy".
Note that this is an extremely popular event. Doors open at 6, they recommend getting there early if you want a good seat. You can get there later, but you might be standing the whole time. I will be there around 6:15 and will save a section of seats to the right if you are facing the stage. I will only hold seats until the rest of the section fills up and then I will release them to the public so the closer to 6:15 you can be there the better because I can't promise you a seat!
The cover is only $5 to get in (cash only, please bring small bills)

So bummed to have missed it and everyone. Was at the club at 5:45pm wednesday ready to enjoy my first meetup. Door locked, no one around. When I got home saw I had put it in my planner for the wrong day! Looking forward to next time....and will double check when I write it down! Linda

Any suggestions for quick food nearby prior to the event? Or will there be food at Circus?

Do we purchase tickets from you?

      October 15, 2013

    • Matt

You buy tickets at the door. And just so you all know, you can't buy a ticket for someone who's not yet arrived, so if you have friends coming you can save them a seat but if they don't get to the door before tickets sell out then they won't be able to get in. (Usually people leave at intermission though, so more people can come in then.)

I'll be there at 5:45 and am changing the start time to reflect this change. The show has been selling out the last few months so come as early as you can!

No! Rsvping does NOT mean you tell a story. It just means you are going to be entertained. You have to sign up AND get picked to tell a story.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
