Sail to Put in Bay and the Lake Erie Islands

The water has finally warmed up enough to swim and I finally have time to get the meet up group out.

Note: you do not need to know how to sail, and if you want to learn I will gladly teach you while we are out.  I can run the whole boat by myself if need be but its always nice to have some help.

Join Robert on a weekend sailing excursion... It's only $99 and gets you two nights on the boat and dockage fees.

Come down Friday after work and we'll stay in the Marina overnight (there is a pool and good restaurants around). This keeps you from having to drive early in the am. Its about hour and 50 mins. from AA

We will be leaving Saturday morning about 10 am  if you can not make it down Friday night. So feel free to come down SATURDAY BY 9AM or so. We leave at 10 am so don't make others wait.

Saturday Morning we will set sail for Kelly's Island and drop anchor for awhile and swim, then we will head out to Middle Bass Island where we will get a dock for the night, ( they have power at the dock so we can run the AC for sleeping at night) They also have private showers and restrooms for everyone to use. Its a short ferry ride over to Put in Bay. Last ferry back from Put in Bay is 1am. The ferry ride is $6 ea way.

Put-in-Bay is a great family place during the day but at night its becomes Miami at spring break. So make sure you bring ID they always check at the door. There is a riding bull we do sometimes and lots of bars on the main street.

We will get up Sunday morning, the island has a local bar/ restaurant that has a nice breakfast buffet if you want to eat in the morning.   Depending on the hang over level and the weather conditions we will do some sailing back around the islands or head back to the marina. Should be back by 3pm or so on sunday.

Bring a swimsuit, bring a towel, some clothes, things to drink, and a sleeping bag.

No spray on sunscreen please, it makes the boat very easy to slip on.

There are only 5 spots, so sign up quick!

Boat is a 27 foot Catalina Sailboat. Sleeps five below, 3 single and 1 double in v-berth (need to be short)  I sleep up on deck at the marinas so there are 5 open spaces, if it's all single people will need to limit it to 4 on the boat.

Robert is a US Coast Guard Licensed Master Captain.

Catawba Marina is only 2 hours from A2.

We'll return Sunday mid afternoon, however if you need to be back sooner, the ferry will take you back early.

My cell Number is[masked]-9382.  If you are attending send me a text with your name and an idea when you think you will be coming in.

Also if you wish to pay via Credit card just contact me and I will set up an invoice with paypal or google.
