I'm training to climb hills in the Smoky Mountain National Forest. In order to play in the waterfalls and enjoy the mountain view, I have to make sure I can get my butt up the hills. :)
Meet in front of the Bivouac store on State street. There is a parking structure on Maynard street that is close by there. From the Bivouac we will head toward Washington Heights, and enter Nichols Arboretum through the Peony Garden. On the way take a detour through the historical Forest Hill Cemetery.
Here's a map of the park and information: http://www.lsa.umich.edu/mbg/files/ArbGuide.pdf
The overlook hill is[masked]', and we'll go up and down the loop a dozen times or so.
Please bring some water, and set your own goal. Hopefully, we can cheer each other on.
Afterwards, we can head back to town and I can watch you guys eat ice cream at Ben and Jerry's OR drink beer at Red Hawk. I'm on a diet.
If you're running late, please call Brooke at[masked]-one362
