Retro Dance Party (a.k.a., Plastic Passion)

PLASTIC PASSION - SAT, April 12th

Saturday at 10:00pm (tentatively) in the Red Room at Necto Nightclub in Ann Arbor, Michigan

As the FB page says: this is a monthly dance party featuring the best of Retro 70s/80s/90s New Wave, Post-Punk, Brit-Pop, Industrial, Electro, Manchester, Eurotrash, Acid House, Goth Rock, Shoegazer, blah blah blah yeah!

One of my friends helps to organize this event.  I can't make it every month, but always have a great time when I can show up.  The crowd tends to be a bit older than the college kiddies dancing upstairs, but your paid pass to the party also allows you access to the upstairs area if you are curious...want a good laugh watching the boys chase the girls around the upstairs dance floor...or simply find you prefer the music/company upstairs better.

I am going to a play beforehand so I am not exactly sure when I will arrive...though I suspect somewhere around 10pm or maybe a little later.  If you are into the drink specials you can even come earlier (doors open at 9pm).  I don't drink and dance anymore...but if they are spinning really good tunes you will likely only find me on the dance floor.

There is a cover price at the door, just make sure you tell them you are there for the private party downstairs (in the Red Room) so they charge you the right cover and send you in the correct direction (i.e., down the stairs, not up).

Like, I dunno. But it does leave us with more room on the dance floor.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
