Texas Hold’em (potential free $20 buy-in or $20 gift card if you don’t play poke

First I’ll talk about the game; then, the deal you can’t refuse.

First game at 7PM, just a warm up, $10 buy-in, it will go fast and blinds will be huge by 8:30 so that by 9PM the main $20 game will start.  This is not a series, there is no rake, and every penny in will be won by either the top 3 or 4 places, depending on how many people join us.  It is my goal that the main game is over by around midnight.

Everyone is invited to this event, not just serious poker players.  This is a social event and beginners, even those who have never before played, are invited to attend.  Although you may attend and not play, there won’t be much else to do.  This really is a poker event.

If you get knocked out early, you can try to start a cash game, try my slackline in my backyard, or just hang out.

Water and snacks (beef jerky, chips, carrots, etc…) will be provided.  Anything else you might want to eat and drink is up to you.

So, how do you get your $20 free buy-in or gift card?  Just use my referral code to join Lyft, an app you download to your smart phone that allows you to summon a driver to pick you up and drive you somewhere.  It will work around Ann Arbor and the metro Detroit area.  It’s called a “rideshare” program, which is kind of like a taxi service, expect that regular people like me are drivers.  If you’d like to do this, please arrive early.

It’s faster and cheaper than using a taxi and you’ll get 5 free rides (up to $25 each) for the first 15 days after you sign up (save 2 rides for me:-).  And if you use my referral code www.lyft.com/invited/JAMES5993, we will both get an extra bonus $25 ride that will not expire.

If you have any questions for me, either email me, respond though meetup, or just call me[masked] 4553.

Unless 5 more people RSVP before 5 o'clock I'm going to have to cancel this due to lack of interest

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
