Volleyball

There is a waiting list, so UPDATE YOUR RSVP if your plans have changed.

Updates:

1)  I will set up two nets on the sand at North Field, so that we can have some friendly volleyball.  If more than 24 people actually show up, some may want to break off and play at Glacier Highlands Park, where there is a well-maintained sand volleyball court.  It is only a mile away; you just take a right out of the dirt road by the water tower, a right onto Greene Road, then a left onto Larchmont.  It may suck a little bit socially, but EVERYONE should be able to get PLENTY OF PLAYING TIME.

2) If you want to get social after volleyball, the venue is no longer the Wolverine State Brewing Company (it had not quite registered with me how far away the Wolverine is from North Field....).  Unless someone has a better suggestion (and I am always open to suggestions), the venue is now Carson's American Bistro (2000 Commonwealth Boulevard), which is practically right across the street from North Field.

It seems as though I got the wrong address to the event. 3117 Plymouth rd was a residence!!

a2girl2014, you missed some fun volleyball. Like Josh said, the volleyball courts are behind the blue water tower, you just have to go down the dirt road next to the water tower, and the courts are to the right. Next time!

Sorry for the late cancellation. My lawn mower broke and it took all day to fix. I'll be in my yard working - not as much fun! Next time :-)

Hey guys, does anyone drives there from AA center (I mean in the near of the central campus)? I don't have a car so it could be a little bit complicated for me to reach the spot although I really would like to join :) I know there is a bus I could take but I'm asking especially because of the way home.
    Thanks for any help :)

How many folks are on the wait list? I'd like to come anyway just to watch even if there isn't room!!!

The wait list shows the number of people. You just have to count the heads. It's positioned below the people who are attending.

Didn't they shut down That place. I went see it recently and they have taken down the nets and everything is overgrown. Unless some brings nets to set up, I don't see how you could play.

That's right William, they ripped out the volleyball poles, and they certainly seem to have stopped maintaining the grass fields. The sand is still there, though. I will bring two high-quality volleyball sets and set them up on the sand. If it turns out that they have also bulldozed the sand and it really is unavailable, then the location for this event will change to Virginia Park for grass volleyball.
