Code for America has identified a set of code bases that would be suitable for reuse nationwide, and they had a national contest for the best reuse of code last year. One of the projects identified, Localwiki, already has a presence in Ann Arbor through Arborwiki. The other project that saw widespread adoption is their "Adopt A ..." effort, which has been reused as Adopt-a-drain, Adopt-a-hydrant, Adopt-a-stop and other similar setups.
We'll talk about whatever we talk about, but I'd really like to figure out if there's enough interest in doing an adopt-a-drain project *and* if that data is readily available to bootstrap the system quickly.
Looking forward to seeing you! Location is at the Washtenaw County Building, 200 N Main St in Ann Arbor; enter off the Ann St side, and we'll be at a conference room in the basement. Thanks to Andy Brush from Washtenaw County for hosting.
