We are looking for a computer programmer/technology professional with experience taking medical devices from proof-of-concept through advanced concept development with early prototype development, as well as regulatory processes with the FDA, manufacturing and commercial launch. The company needs an individual whose expertise includes technical specification/product design within the Healthcare Communications environment (i.e., nurse call, wireless routing, networks, etc.). The individual needs to be an expert programmer in C, C++, and Java; experience with multiple operating systems preferable but not a requirement.
The ideal individual would be a technology professional with experience in product development related to nurse call systems or wireless healthcare communication systems (alpha paging system, wireless phone, etc).
The position will be responsible for outlining the product pathway for the R&D team, identifying all the resources necessary to complete all of the required processes and documentation and assist in programming the software application. Further, the individual would need to assist in identifying and directing the other professionals (database/server scientist, regulatory expert, etc.) to complete these processes either by hiring the individuals or outsourcing wherever it is appropriate. She/he will need to be able to work with the executive management team to achieve the company’s schedules and objectives. Hiring would be immediate on a part-time or full-time basis.
• Hands-on programming experience with C, C++, or Java
• Someone that is capable of working with limited resources to accomplish the company’s goals and objectives
• Significant experience with software and hardware development in the hospital environment
• Successful history of bringing a software or hardware product to market
• Regulatory experience in the healthcare industry (device experience with ISO and FDA preferred)
• Strong team management experience is desired
