Because we believe in the power of self-organized groups to meet people needs (and change the world). Meetups help their members advance causes, network with professional peers, get health support, pursue hobbies or just organize a regular playgroup for their kids. Meetup is non-partisan, based in New York City and is privately held. Our Board of Directors include CEO Scott Heiferman, Esther Dyson, Andreas Stavropoulos (DFJ VC), U.S. Senator Bill Bradley, and Pierre Omidyar (Founder/Chairman of eBay).
