Expositional Bible Study

Working our way thru the book of 1 Samuel, this week we'll study Chapters 4-7. We'll see the Israelites battle with the Philistines, see the capture of the ark of The Lord, and witness the death of Eli and his wicked sons.  But now that the boy Samuel had grown up and been established as a Godly prophet and judge of The Lord, we'll see the transition of power to him as he begins to lead the nation of Israel. Such great lessons here for us to learn from here as we'll see more of ourselves reflected in the lives of the Israelites some 3000 years ago.

As usual, we'll meet in room 207 on the Calvary Community Church campus. The easiest directions are to exit I-17 @ Cactus, go one block west to 28th Drive, then one block north to Larkspur. The church campus and room 207 are located on the northeast corner of the intersection.

Looking forward to studying with everyone again this week!

By the way, I had to laugh @ your mention of the tour of the "LSD" temple. I think you meant "LDS" temple. :) Hope you're recovering from your allergies! God bless you!

Another great study tonight as we learned more about the Israelites ongoing struggles with the Philistines, and the capture of the ark of the covenant. We found so many great lessons buried in the text that we can apply to our life still today! Hope to see everyone at our next study!
