Coming up will be another exploratory hike/adventure east of the valley. I am scheduling this in conjuntion with one of my other meet ups. We will be exploring old abandoned hiways, wrecked cars, mines, trails, etc. The views are just wonderful and you will enjoy yourself. Better than an ordinary hike on the trail as you never know what you may find and see. There are 3 options as to what exactly we will do for the day. I will keep you informed as the time gets closer. We wish to do 2 of them in Dec. If you would like to go but, cannot go on a week day, let us know as we can try to schedule one on a Saturday.
If you have questions, just ask.
We will meet at the IHOP off of Val Vista on Baseline for breakfast and planning. Then, we can carpool if youo want to on east. Some of these adventures need s vehicle with some groud clearance and others do not. You can leave your car at the Ihop if you like and ride out with us, no issues doing that. We suggest a back pack, water, camera, snacks, flashlight, hiking boots, long pants as there is normally brush. If we go on a reservation we get permits in Globe, they are $10 each. Its is a great and adventurous way to spend the day and we have never been disappointed. We keep hiking/exploring normally until dark, then drive back to the valley and sometimes grab some dinner on the way. The drive from Ihop is from 30-90 minutes depending on where we decide to go. These are fun, casual adventures and not rushed in any way. If someone needs to stop, we stop.
