Sunday School/Church at Cornerstone Chandler

Last Sunday approx 4 of us attended the 10:30 singles Sunday school class. There were about a hundred people there and was worthwhile. some of us afterward attended the noon service after the class. Cornerstone also offers a 9am service prior to this class. Some of the people who attend meet for lunch afterward.

and how about some respect for the Lord himself! It really ruined my church experience today. His sermon was really good as best I can tell but, I am going to have to watch it online to make sure I heard it all.
I realize this problem was with the attendees and not the fault of the church itself BUT, Cornerstone needs to annouce that there should be proper etiquette during a church service.
Something like that would never happen at any of the former churches I attended.
I hope this is an isolated circumstance but, still, Cornerstone needs to set up rules and let them know how they should act at church.
We'll try it again next week and hope things are better.

phone, texts or whatever. then he opened up and drank two cans of something! Can you imagine the nerve of someone in the front of church opening cans of soda or whatever? even during the Pastors sermon! Outrageous.
Worse yet, 2 women sat in front of me, in the front row. They chit chatted through the entire service inbetween checking with, and playing on their phones. This continued even during the Pastors sermon! I was so bothered, I got up and moved to the front row next to them for the remainder of the service. I still heard the chit chatting as I tried to concentrate on Pastors Linns sermon but, at least I did not have to see them playing with their phone.

I know Cornerstone has the feeling of going to a movie and not going to church. People are lined up before services just like the movies, the set up is the same, people bring in sodas, etc.
But, HEY! How about a little respect for the Pastor? for the other people there trying to injest Gods word (continued)

The singles Bible study did not cover much scripture this time. There were a few passsages though. It was friendly and people were nice. I understand this was a review session to cover what is coming up. I am just used to more of a real Bible study. I do plan to continue to see how I like it. I appreciate Cornerstone acknowledging the need for adult singles classes. I also realize our meet up is not a singles meet up- there are other classes offered there besides singles groups so, a place for everyone.
We'll just see how it goes.
The Sunday service afterwards was another story. Not sure where everyone else likes to sit but, I have found as I get closer to the Lord and wish to be deeper in his word, I tend to sit further towards the front. One reason is there are less distractions and I am there to feed my hunger to understand scripture. So, I sat in the 2nd row. I was surprised at how even the 2nd row was distracting! The man next to me kept checking his (to be continued)
