NEW FORMAT ...
We are moving to a much larger 3-hour event format. It will cost $16 per person and will include light h'orderves.
LOCATION: the Hotel Shattuck Plaza in Berkeley. The hotel is 1 block away from the downtown Berkeley Public Library where we have been meeting for the past 9 months.
From now on, we will hold these events on WEDNESDAYS, not Mondays (to avoid holiday conflicts). Here is how the event will run:
6:00 to 6:45 - Open networking (food will arrive at 6:15)
6:45 to 7:30 - Introductions and Announcements
7:30 to 8:00 - Networking break
8:00 to 9:00 - Featured Presentation (Steve Peterson - see below)
The first 52 people to arrive will get a playing card (from a traditional deck of cards), allowing them to make an introduction during the 7:00 to 7:45 time slot. We will still have the 2 Joker Cards available ($20 each) for 2-minute announcements from the front of the room.
The room will be set up with round tables that seat 8 people each. The tables will each have a sign with a word (either an industry or a hobby), encouraging people to interact about various topics while at the meeting. At 6:30, food (light h'orderves) will be brought directly to the room and a cash bar will be available for drinks throughout the evening.
We will also have 4 tables along the side of the room for exhibitors. Members will be able to rent these tables ($40 each) and can use them to display, hand-out and/or sell products and services. Please contact the organizer at [masked] to reserve one of these tables (first come, first served).
NOTE: street parking is free starting at 6:00 PM and the BART station is right across the street.
