March Topic: NEGOTIATION SKILLS

In the tough economic cycle we are in, top negotiating skills are essential to both get what you want, and create sustainable relationships with people that cause a bond instead of a repulsion. Learn how world-class negotiators listen, formulate strategies and get what they want, while leaving others feeling good about the deals.

Participants will come away from this presentation with a high level of facility to create the experience of win/win negotiations, create deep levels of rapport and ultimately getting more of what they want in their next deal or negotiation.

Content included in training:

  • Advanced Rapport Skills (From the NLP Tool box)
  • Ways we keep ourselves safe from getting what we want in a negotiation
  • Language that demands results
  • 5 Lesser known techniques to get more than you expected when negotiating
  • Win/Win Negotiation Format (creating sustainable agreements) without giving up the your needs

enjoyed how well our organizer ran the meeting, unexpectedly learned from and actually enjoyed the speakers - who knew negotiating could be so interesting. Met some nice members of the group, too.

Who attended?

  • 82 attendees
    •  Awesome as always - much better presenters this time.
    •  I especially enjoyed hanging out at Jupiters afterwards, where we could see how the young and the old experience the world. Thanks!
    •  There was plenty to share with so many attending and the guest speakers gave an informative introduction.
    •  Presenters were knowledgeable and skilled with lots of good info to offer. What the presentation lacked in and of itself was more than made up by the exercises that attendees did with each other. The hands-on direct experience communicated the negotiating techniques really well. To the presenters' credit, they did well with a short amount of time and their offer of a 3-day seminar at a nominal cost is a generous response to participants' wanting to gain more of their expertise. Thank you very much.
    •  This was a great event! It was good exposure about negotiation skills and it was a very solid group of business owners and entrepreneurs. Can't wait until the next event!!
    •  Jeff Slater and Kane Minkus did a great job discussing Negotiation Skills and involving the group in exercises to demonstrate their points.
    • Brian Schroeder (+1 guest)
Patrick, as usual, was in top form, with his particular style of humor. Oh my God. There are only about 10,000 unemployed comedians and we got one of them. The main reason I go to these meetups is to feed off of the energy and excitement of the attendees. I am an energy vampire. It helps me feel young. I also like giving my energy back to the room. The second reason is to learn something valuable that will possibly help my business grow. The third reason is to network and find potential clients and referrals for myself and others. And the fourth reason is to look for select persons that have unique talents and skills and that would be willing to help me grow my business in new and effective ways. Hey. It's the toughest ticket in town on Monday night. And it is free.
    •  Great negotiating tips & approaches.
    •  I like that we each get to introduce ourselves. Patrick always has good speakers but tonight they were exceptional.
    •  The speakers were not effective and time was too short to really get into the topic. With a group this big introductions take too long ( although networking an important part of this meeting). I would have like to hear more about Patrick's book!
    •  Last night's speakers were dynamic, intriguing and memorable. Thanks Patrick!
    •  Effective leader and speakers. All kept on-time and the audience engaged. Speakers offered a great deal for their workshop.
    • Ruth Hamilton (+1 guest)
I thought the meeting was well planned, the speakers shared interesting & helpful ideas. It was a very congenial atmosphere and a great way to connect with other entrepreneurs.
