Hi Bre,

Congrats on the new east coast gig.

Our little singer/songwriter group has been a bright spot for me the last few months too.  I'm new to guitar and the songwriting keeps me motivated to practice and play more. So I'd HATE to lose this connection to new original music and the people involved. But I'm NOT an organizer and would not be the person to HEAD the group but I'm interested in co-hosting.

Stay in touch.
Kevin

Hello all,
Thanks for being patient over the past month while I've been gone. My trip across country was absolutely amazing and I am now back in Los Angeles. I saw so many cities, met interesting people and saw how multiple regions celebrate music. Of all things that happened during the trip, the most noteworthy is that I was offered a marketing position with an unbelievable social-networking startup company in Providence, RI. After talking with the founder, the philosophy of this company instantly inspired me and I knew that this position could launch the marketing career that I've always wanted.

Long-story-made-short... I have decided to accept this marketing position which will require me to move to Providence at the end of this month. Unfortunately, I will no longer be able to lead this meetup group, and I consider this one of my greatest losses throughout the decision to leave the west coast. The people who compose this group, the conversations about music that I've shared, and the shows I've seen in the process have defined my LA experience and I will never forget this. Thank you to all who have been a part of this.

Ironically, over the past few days as I've made preparations for moving, our meetup's membership has grown more than any other week since the group started. This excites me because it proves that more people are showing an interest in and passion for the LA music scene; but it saddens me because I fear that this meetup will have to dissolve after I leave.
Is there anyone who would be willing to take over the leadership of this meetup?
If you are interested, please let me know.

In closing, thank you so much for your support of the LA acoustic music scene. Remember that fans are as important to a show's experience as the artist is, so I hope that you will continue to show love for the scene after I leave.
It's been a pleasure.

Bre
