Hello ACT Board Gamers!
Firstly, apologies to anyone who gets this twice. I am using the meetup contact list and I have also BCCed Richard Neville’s list. I tried to remove duplications, but I may have missed some.
For those who have not yet joined us on meetup.com and who want to, please go to :
The idea is that this way we can all be responsible for keeping our own email addresses up to date, new people can find us (and have) and we can see how many people are likely to turn up to an event. It also avoid the issue of everyone getting RSVP emails from everyone (I know it drove me nuts).
For those who are members, you may notice I have removed the regular event of board games at CGS. This way I figure someone can add it if they intend to go, it will then go to all meetup members and we can check the site to see how many people are coming.
The meetup group is on trial for six months to see if it works. It is easy to use and also gives us the freedom to discuss games, etc. By joining the site, you will get notifications of events and reminders as well! If you don’t like logging into a website to set up an event, you can still use the mailing list approach (hopefully this one). Or if you don’t like the idea of logging into a website to RSVP for an event, you can always email the organiser privately.
Oh, if you are wondering why Richard Hills is included in the “to” field it is because he cannot access the site and I don’t want him to miss out!
I hope to see you all at Cancon and CGS this Thursday (note – it’s a new quarter for CGS for those who pay by the quarter).
Please remember any replies to this address will go to everyone on the actboardgamers email list.
