Is economic growth essential for wellbeing?

This is a meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Wellbeing Economics which is open to members of the public. An eminent panel will discuss whether economic growth is essential to our wellbeing in the short and long-term; whether it is possible to move to a new economic model where growth becomes unnecessary; and how we could we achieve greater wellbeing under such a model. The panelists are Lord Robert Skidelsky, Prof Tim Jackson and Anna Coote. You need to reserve a place for this event - details here: http://parliamentaryw...

An excellent event. All the speakers were clear and concise, though Tim Parker was particularly engaging and persuasive. Would be fascinating to see what might happen if he did manage to seize his 'little corner' of the Treasury!
