We are an active group (ages 35-55) looking for fun ways to meet other people with similar interests.  Our goal is to offer a wide variety of activities such as hiking, camping, biking, golfing, live theater, cultural events, movies, dinning out, BBQs, game and card nights, holiday celebrations, weekend getaways, and more.

Don’t stay home tonight……come join in the fun, meet new friends, and most of all have a great time.

Donations

Because of the generosity of our organizers of both their time and money, we are planning a large variety of events, maintaining this website, and keeping our group busy with fun activities.  In the year ahead we hope to take some of the financial burden off the organizers so that we can continue to offer great events for everyone. 

You can help in this process by donating $10 for the coming year.  The money that is collected will be used to purchase party supplies, pay for the Meetup.com website, make reservations for camping and other overnight events, as well as to purchase tickets and many other things that make all our events possible.

You can make your donation on our group’s webpage thru PayPal or Amazon Payments.  We hope that you will become part of our group and that we will see you at an event soon.

Legal Disclaimer and Liability Information:

1. Active Connections is a private group.  Attending events is voluntary by you as a member.  Participation in any activity with Active Connections is at your own risk.
2. By joining Active Connections as a member you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Active Connections, its organizers, coorganizers, assistant organizers, event hosts, and other members from all claims or liability of every type (including court costs and legal fees) for injury or death to any person or for damage to property, loss of personal property or any other wrongful act arising out of or relating to your participation as a member.  This agreement applies to you and to other persons (as your guests) who may accompany you in these endeavors.
3. You also agree to hold the organizers as well as other group members harmless.  By participating voluntarily in the group, you expressly waive any and all such claims against each and every other member in the group, including without limitation any and all claims against the group organizer, coorganizers, assistant organizers, and event hosts
4. Active Connections holds a variety of different activities such as, but not limited to dancing, hiking, biking, camping, snowshoeing, and so on.  These events can be dangerous and pose a risk to Active Connections members and guests.  By participating voluntarily in the group you understand that you are responsible for your own safety.
5. Any social events that Active Connections sponsors and holds such as, but not limited to picnics, group trips, outings, dining, concerts and so on will fall also under the same Disclaimer and Liability guidelines listed above.
