Frisco Square hosts "Movies in the Square" featuring outdoor family-oriented movies each summer. A giant, 26' x 13' inflatable movie screen will be located on Simpson Plaza, right on the lawn in front of Frisco City Hall. Viewers should bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the show!

This year, Frisco Square and Frisco Dog Park, in conjunction with several local dog rescue groups, are proud to co-host the dog-friendly movie event of the summer, All Dogs Go To Heaven.

Pooches are especially welcomed to this event. They must be well behaved, under their owner's control, and leashed and cleaned up after at all times.

Admission and parking is free!

Live pre-show entertainment begins at 8:30 p.m. Movie starts at 9:00 p.m.

Movie: All Dogs Go To Heaven -- from the Director of The Secret of Nimh, An American Tail, and The Land Before Time

Date: Friday, August 6, 9:00 p.m. (rescheduled rain date from July 9th)

Plot Synopsis: the story of two dogs, Charlie B. Barkin (voiced by Burt Reynolds) and his loyal best friend Itchy Itchiford (voiced by Dom DeLuise). Charlie, who is murdered by his gangster business partner Carface Carruthers, forsakes his place in Heaven to return and take revenge. On his return he frees a young orphan girl, Anne-Marie, who Carface was holding captive because of her ability to talk to and understand animals (giving Carface insider information about whom to bet on in races). At first Charlie and Itchy intend on exploiting Anne-Marie's gift too, but they soon become attached to her and act as her protectors. Charlie learns that he will have to change his ways in order to get back into Heaven.

Location: 6101 Frisco Square Blvd., Frisco (in front of Frisco City Hall); (469) 633-1721.

The screen is relatively small for the crowd (click on the photo at the top), so we should meetup in front of the screen/stage at 7:30 p.m. in order to stake our claim to a good spot for our lawn chairs and blankets. Then we can guard each others stuff if some of us need to get food & drinks, or walk our pooches before the show. No RSVP necessary, but would be most helpful and appreciated.

Some of the "Movies in the Square" sponsors have provided cost saving coupons. Please return each week to this link -- -- for their latest offerings.
