Penny is a 4 yr old spayed Pembroke Welsh Corgi, full of energy. She's a farm dog, and bred to herd, so can be a bit bossy on her home turf. Away from home, loves to play, and always wants to be the center of attention. Has excelled in agility and obedience classes (altho we haven't shown), has her CGC, and would love new venues to explore.
Would love to find new areas to explore with other people who enjoy canine friendship and rural beauty. Would particularly like off-leash opportunities, but more "urban" locales would also be novel for us. I would be glad to share planning for activities in my general area, and to provide any needed admin/logistical support.
For an easy walk, I enjoy the towpath west of White's Ferry, particularly on a weekday or snowy/drizzly weather when there are fewer people. Not much "terrain" but a lovely walk (plus the ferry ride to get there is nostalgic). Also like the trails at Sky Meadows State Park for a bit more of an invigorating hike and great views. Our own daily walk is limited to the perimeter of our pastures and farm lanes (checking those fencelines). Moderate hikes, with views and water as a bonus, would suit us best.
CGC, plenty of training in obedience and agility
I spend lots of time working outdoors (taking care of 13 horses), but need to squeeze in some quality dog time for pure pleasure.
