Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve is the perfect venue for a brisk, BEAUTIFUL hike. Simple snacks such as nuts or dried fruit and a small ration of water will take you where you want to go. A 2.5 MILE, fairly flat hike heads out to the "WATERFALL" which is more like a beautiful stream and rocks area right in the middle of the preserve. Great for PICTURES. Another 2.5mi back to civilization.
I will be waiting at the TABLES AREA and be there by 9:15am wearing a small MEETUP name tag. Very easy to find once you get into the lot. Parking is never a problem.
No boots necessary. Walking/Running shoes are more than adequate. Hat and or sunscreen suggested.
See you on the trail! Metal Matty cell:[masked] call if you need help or have any questions
Make sure you go to the TRAIL HEAD WEST, Not the North East BLACK MTN. entrance. maps.google.com has the location listed as Los Penasquitos Trail Head (West). I made sure the link I posted is hitting the right coordinates.
