Actors “Jam Session”

It’s time to do a little more than just networking. For all the actors out there, let’s work on your table-reading and cold-reading skills and have fun at the same time. For this event we’ll bring a collection of scripts with various parts and characters. Each attendee will have a chance to read as part of the group. For those of you, who have never done this before, see this YouTube video of a table reading session for 30 Rock: http://www.youtube.co..., it will be similar to this, but with better acting :).

1. Everyone who attends will get to read a part in a script (probably more than one) with other actors.

3. Food and drink available for order at happy hour prices. Burbank Bar and Grill is a huge place with lots of nice tables, light – great ambiance.

 

Afterwards at 9:00, there's Karaoke for those who want to stay :)!

    I don't know the name of the organizer. I did RSVP for tonight at 7 pm & i went to bbg, but unfortunately i couldn't find anybody. I asked the receptionist. She said we don't have any groups. They didn't know a meet up group. I asked them actors hangout group. They said no. I asked for jam session. They didn't know either. I was there until 8.30 pm & then i left. That was disappointing.

      We were there, unfortunately (or fortunately if you're a football fan) it was Super Bowl Sunday, so it was especially crammed. Since there were only 3 people (2 of them being us) I didn't reserve any special areas (that's why the receptionist didn't give you any specific instructions). We were there in plain view (I look very distinct) with a clipboard full of scripts in the outside area. I will leave my phone number so people can call or text in future meetups to make it easier to locate us. I'm sorry you were not able to find us.

      You knew,I was coming,because of RSVP. Firs of all u should've made reservation. Second of all u could 've told the receptionist, if somebody was looking for a meet up group, direct her to where u were. Since I didn't have your # to call u & u didn't let the receptionist know, how could i remember your look to found you. Yes,it was crammed. But that's not a good excuse. At least be sorry.
