Kendall Tenney's 7th Annual 5K "Run For A Wish"

Kendall Tenney's 7th Annual "Run For a Wish" is a 5K Run and 1 mile fun walk.
KVBC TV-3 is the local television sponsor of the event

This event raises funds to grant wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses in the hopes of enriching the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The doctors provide the medicine and Make-A-Wish provides the magic. They anticipate 2008 will be bigger and better than ever! At the event, you will see wish children with their families and supporters, avid runners and walkers, teams from various community businesses and organizations, board members and volunteers. The event features sponsor booths with activities, live broadcasts from KWNR 95.5 and KVBC Channel 3, raffles, refreshments and an entertaining post-event award ceremony.

In 2002, 48 wishes were granted to children in Southern Nevada, 79 wishes in 2003, 100 wishes in 2004, 106 wishes in 2005 and 120 in 2006.

I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in this, but I am doing it so I figured it couldn't hurt to post as well. I signed up for the 1 mile fun walk. There is a fee of 25.00 to enter. If anyone ends up RSVP'ing and wanting to do the 5k run...I would be more than happy to switch!
