Hi Everyone! We survived 'Winter' and with the nice spring weather, Opportunity Village is starting early this year with their Saturday of Services.
Since 1954, Opportunity Village is a 100% local charity that serves people with intellectual disabilities to improve the quality of their lives and the lives of their families. Proceeds from this extraordinary event go directly to support programs and services for the 3,000 people with disabilities served every year.
Opportunity Village is having a Saturday of Service this Saturday, March 8th from 9:00am-1:00pm. They have been working hard to improve the forest and need our help with staining the fences and posts along the forest path. This is a special opportunity to be part of the magic in their off-season! You’ll be able to see your handiwork when it is all said and done this coming October. It’s going to be amazing!
Families are welcome to come, too. Anyone under the age of 16 needs to be supervised by an adult. OV also will have cold water for everyone and all supplies are already there for any of their projects.
I am most likely going to be working so I may not be able to join but I have been working with Marni Lewis and she said she will be glad to host this for me if I can't make it.
Please remember to RSVP with integrity. Hope to see you there!
