|Dear Stephanie, |
GTSF provides disadvantaged children and children in crisis with new shoes and socks as well as other items deemed essential for good health and positive development.
On Thursday, February 9th, the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, in partnership with Toyota, will outfit 400 disadvantaged Clark County school children with new shoes and socks! Volunteers are needed to assist the children in selecting the shoes of their choice from our shoe-store-on-wheels, and assist with general distribution activities.
Please note that this event is not open to the public. Participating children have been pre-selected and pre-qualified (low-income) to participate in the scheduled shoe distribution program.
Space is Limited. Volunteers must pre-register and provide detailed volunteer information. The volunteer registration link is located at the bottom of this email.
Please plan to arrive between 8:35am and 8:45am for volunteer check-in. A brief orientation will take place at 8:50am, and the distribution will begin promptly thereafter. THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT which requires ACTIVE standing and/or kneeling, so please dress accordingly for the activity and the weather.
Because we are counting on you to staff this event, volunteers need to be able to stay for the duration of the event--no late arrivals or early departures, please.
If your availability changes for any reason, please contact us immediate at[masked] or via email at [address removed]. We respectfully request 24 hours notice should you be unable to fulfill your commitment. Please review the cancellation and "no-show" policies below.
There is no smoking at any time. Minors under the age of 13 are not permitted to volunteer even when accompanied by an adult.
Minors age 13-17 and accompanied by an adult may volunteer but will be restricted to non-peer activities only such as assisting with bagging etc.... We do not accept volunteers with court-ordered community service or criminal histories, of any kind.
Our volunteer numbers are quite precise, and we rely on our volunteers to staff our distribution events, and contribute to the efficiency of our programming. Individuals are required to provide at least 24 hours notice when cancelling their volunteer commitment. Individuals are allowed three cancellations within the school year (August - June). After the third cancellation, individuals will no longer be permitted to register as a volunteer with GTSF.
Registered volunteers whom cancel within 24 hours of an event as well as volunteers whom fail to show for their scheduled volunteer commitment will be deemed a "no-show volunteer." Individuals whom no-show twice within the school year (August - June), will no longer be permitted to register as a volunteer with GTSF.
To register NOW as a volunteer, please click on the link below and you will automatically be taken to our digital volunteer registration page. Please note that you will be required to provide your full name, complete mailing address, phone number and email address to complete registration. Once you access the site with your email address, you will not be able to re-access the site to make any additions, deletions or changes using the same email address.
Available volunteer slots are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. You will receive a confirmation with specific event details including the detailed distribution location address upon completion of registration. Please notify us immediately of any changes in your availability so that we may promptly address our staffing needs. Thank you and we look forward to working with you.
