Having always been a cinephile, I've recently discovered the joys of reading a book before going to watch its film adaptation on the big screen. It's amazing discovering what creative changes directors have made in translating fiction for the cinema.
Unlike some book clubs that may be quite intimidating in how every aspect of the novel is critically deconstructed, the environment of the Adaptation Group is quite informal by comparison. If you're looking for an excuse to watch a movie with a bunch of amiable folks and then having a fun, light-hearted chat about it afterwards, this is it.
Hi Kunal, I won't be able to come for "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" screening as it's two days before I fly overseas, and I won't be able to come for "Tinker Tailor Soldier Boy" either, as it's WHILE I'm overseas. I'll try and make it to the next screening (whichever it is), provided you update your profile photos. Go for the suave tuxedo one on your Gmail. I'm sure it'll get a lot more propositions. Lilian, watch this space!
Thanks Kunal. Looking forward to my first meet up!

edit: reader, not read
Hi Kunal. I'm a slow read, but I'll work hard to finish any up coming books before seeing the movie.
Thanks for the warm welcome.
