Hike Proud Lake

Meet outside River Hawk Conference Center at Proud Lake. Regular event starts at 1, so building is bound to be locked.

Hike will begin promptly at 11:30. We'll hike for approximately 1.5 hours (appx 4 miles) for a pre-New Years Day Proud Lake Event hike.

Dress for the weather in appropriate layers and boots. Based on the trails I was on this week, Yak-trax or similar, or trekking poles are suggested as trails could be icy. Drinking water is suggested.

I enjoyed the hike. The falling snow made it beautiful. I counted 13 people.

If your plans change, please update your RSVP. Leave plenty of time for driving on unplowed roads. Hike will leave timely. Please drive safely.

Is anyone attending the following meetup? I am kind of concerned about where to leave the food I'll bring with me for the potluck as the building will be closed at the time we get there (I will be arriving in a taxi so I won't have a car to leave the food in while we're gone hiking)

Any one of us will let you keep whatever you aren't carrying on the hike in a car.
