Bald Mountain North Hike

  • Jan 12, 2014 · 1:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

With this crazy weather it's difficult to plan anything, but let's try to do this hike on Sunday. Maybe this time it will work.

This will be a moderately fast paced hike.  The terrain is varied and includes rolling hills and a few steep inclines. We will hike 5-7 miles.

In case of inclement weather the hike will be cancelled and the website will be updated by noon the day of the hike.

Michigan Recreational Passport required

Trail map:  http://www.michigandnr.com/Publications/PDFS/RecreationCamping/bald-mtn-north-unit-trails.pdf

Do not follow GPS directions for Bald Mountain. Instead use the intersection listed above for GPS directions.

After the hike we will stop to eat, drink and socialize at G's Pizzeria @ 2775 S Lapeer Rd.

Hope to see you there,

Rich

Hi! Can u tell me the easiest way to take from I-75 North?! I looked at the map and it says to exit on M-24 to Greenshield Road which I know is not where you're meeting...

Take I-75 north to Adams exit, then take Adams north till it ends at Stony Creek Rd. Turn right on Stony Creek Rd and then almost immediately left on Harmon Rd. Follow Harmon for about half mile to Predmore; there you should see a parking lot on the left hand side. This is where we meet.

On a positive note, it's forecast to be sunny and 35 on Sunday. I'm hoping that Saturday's rain is light or mostly snow.
