Deadfalls and Snares are the main stay of traps for survival situations. Procuring valuable proteins and fats is essential for long term survival

This class is going to cover various traps and snares you can use for emergency situations. We will be in the field not only making deadfalls and snares, but also looking at trap placement.

The class will run between 2-3 hours

Bring a pocket knife you can use to whittle wood

Bring appropriate clothing

There are tons of wild edibles, so bring a plastic bag if you would like to do a bit of foraging.

Bring something to snack on and drink

Please use this maplink for directions... NOT MAPQUEST, or your own GPS unit, as they will not take you to the right place.

The parking entrance is on Scarborough Ln, off Lyman ave, entered by way of Badillo Ave

The map shows the route with a red line and the parking is in blue.

If the parking lot is full, please park on Scarborough Ln.

**** The class begins promptly at 9am****

Argh, I wanted to attend this but have a nasty calf pull and am limping pretty badly. Please hold this again in the future, sounds like such fun! :)

Sounds great! Are there any online resources you could recommend where I could learn more about this subject?

Hey Jim, sorry fr the late response. Actually, the figure 4 dead fall can be found with a simple search, as can some of the spring snares, but the figure four spring snare is original with me and not currently online. That said, I will be making a video of it shortly
