Time to head west partner. Just 45 miles west of the beltway to the Marriott Ranch for the best Western trail riding this side of the Rocky Buttes. Join us for a 1-1/2 hour trail ride across our beautiful 4200 acre working cattle ranch nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
About the Ride
We will take a 90 minute ride through the beautiful and scenic rolling hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A waiver form will need to be filled out. I have some people who did a trip with these guys and they said it was fun. I've never ridden on the back of a horse so this is another first :)
Ride and introduction begins at 1:45pm. We'll meet and socialize @ 1:30pm. Don't be late because we will not wait. Meet us at the Trail Ride Barn when you come in. We may dine out afterwards just to hang out a bit. But we'll make a judgement call on that.
About Marriott Ranch
In 1951, J. Willard Marriott Sr. discovered a 4,200 acre piece of the Blue Ridge foothills that reminded him of his boyhood days on the family farm in Utah.
Since then, the property always known as "Fairfield," has remained as calm and pristine as when the founder of Marriott International purchased it. With over 1,500 head of cattle, the working farm continues to serve as a respite to the Marriott family, friends and associates. And just as Mr. Marriott retreated and rode the ranch with U.S. Presidents and business leaders from around the world, Marriott Ranch still provides guests and businesses with the same benefits.

Carpooling options
Please list if you can drive or wish to be driven and from where. Please list that in the comments box on the left hand side where it says, "talk about this meeting." Don't list it in the RSVP section as it'll be hard for people to respond to. As a courtesy, we only ask that you pay the driver a few dollars for gas money due rising gas prices nowadays.
Saddle up!

Anyone carpooling?
Can take 3 others. I live in Fairlington ...can pick up at an Arlington Metro.
This is a fun place to go. Huib and I went here years ago for his birthday. We really enjoyed it, it's just I have other plans since my birthday is around this time. Thanks and have fun guys!!
I can drive and give a up to 3 people a ride. I'm in the Courthouse Arlington area so can pick up anyone around me. Message/email me if you want a ride.
Is anyone leaving from either DC or MD? I'll be leaving class early on Saturday (forgot that I have class that day) and need to carpool.
Hi, H. Dean...is it too late to pay for this meetup, or can we pay there? If so, is anyone needing a replacement because they can't go? Thanks, and I can ride 3 people up as well from Alexandria area.
Plans have changed and am now carpooling with others so I'm not driving on my own. See you there!
Refunds offered if:
Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
