Run on Richland Creek Trail

I've been wanting to explore the Richland Creek Trail for years, but haven't had a good enough reason or the time to do so. I finally got those two planet-sized challenges to align.

A couple friends and I are meeting at Backyard Bistro at 11am on Sat to find our way from there, through Schenck Forest, and back. Our only expectations are to have fun, get in a relaxed-pace trail run of 4 to 5 miles, and share some food/drink at the end.

Anyone want to join us?

If you do join us, I'll share my compelling "reason" for this run. If you enjoy this kind of "adventure", I think you'll really like the larger "adventure" this route is part of!

Nice little run on a mix of sidewalk, greenway, trail, and some wild spots to connect it all.

What's a "relaxed pace" to me? I think we might average 10 min/mile, since there's a fair bit of trail to run, some route-finding to do, rock-hopping across creeks, etc. It'll be a "no drop" run, not a race.

Had a great time with the group on this"run"! We went 5.0 miles in 61 minutes. So what it that's 12+ min/mile? We took a few pics, looked at the map, explored the low ropes course, and had fun along the way. Lunch at Backyard Bistro afterwards was fun too. If you're thinking "I wish I had joined them", you're in luck. I'll be posting another meetup like this shortly. Stay tuned!
