Been riding and racing for years, started with triathlons, but found AR's and AR training much more fun!
Yep. Puked all over myself in the middle of one race. (Is that dirtier AND wetter?!? Yuck.) But it poured buckets of rain about 30 minutes later, so I got a nature shower. That was despair, but we finished the race. What I learned - Never change your pre-race meal!
Yep. Lots and lots of fun and not nearly as scary as you might think if you have never tried it.
Yes.
Yes. I enjoy the challenge of the unknown, the thinking aspect of the races, and the team component.
Strongest is navigation and strategy. Weakest is ropes.
"A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both. If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!" If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run - Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son! "

Hi Patrick! I'm looking forward to the SC race!
Good Morning_thank you for the warm welcome....
Hi Patrick, I just joined the group and need to get some local equipment to start training on Wednesday's. Looking for a new MTB but not planning on buying a Kayak as I am in corporate housing. Is there any way to team up for paddling? Look forward to meeting you all.
Great job on the Gleneagles Challenge!!!
Thanks for taking the time to explain everything and plan the race, bet you didn't know the "last check point" was waiting 'til dusk for the new kids :)
Patrick is one of my Assistant Organizers and does a great job of helping me stay motivated and active. I'm looking forward to racing with him someday!
