This is a great loop hike under 4 miles. The elevation gain is 1,250 feet and steep in places. We will cross bridges, go up and down switchbacks through a great forest of Douglas Firs, and visit a peak which is basically just forest. We will break just long enough for a bight of dinner.
**Directions to the Meetup Point / Trailhead**
I-90 east to exit 15 (Newcastle Way, State Route 900). Drive south about 2.5 miles and turn right into the Wilderness Creek Trailhead parking lot. The turn into the parking lot is not signed. It is on a wide corner of SR 900. The parking lot is not large.
Bring your headlamp and/or flashlight just in case we don't make it back before dark.
