Grand Ridge MTB Ride

Join me on one of my favorite mountain bike loops. We start with a short ride through Issaquah to the High School Trail, where a 10 minute climb takes us to Tradition Plateau. We pass by Tradition Lake and the Tiger #3 parking lot on our way to High Point. A short cruise down the High Point trail brings us to the beginning of our major climb- an 800 ft ascent on the singletrack Grand Ridge Trail. Then the fun begins- a long swoopy descent through dense forest and across streams and swamps (the new boardwalk is complete). If time allows, we will visit the Duthie Hill Mountain Bike Park. Return to the starting point will be on the roads.

Moderate pace. I'm not sure how many miles this ride is- maybe 20, but it will probably take about three hours. You should have a taillight.

This is not a ride for beginners. You should be comfortable on rocky singletrack, roots, mud, and steep climbs. Right now the weather forecast looks favorable but I will cancel in the case of steady rain. Please change your RSVP if your plans change.

Yes there are some bailout points along the way. The first would make it a 6-7 mile ride.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
