Let's do an after-work work-out hike via the Section Line Trail to West Tiger 3.
Hiking conditioning required for this hike: To sign up for this hike, you must be doing hikes of 4+ miles and 2000+ feet vertical gain on a regular basis and able to hike steep mountain trails at 30 minutes a mile.
When signing up, please answer the sign-up questions as best you can. Your answers and the info in your profile need to demonstrate the required level of hiking condition and experience.
Carpooling and Driving Directions:
There is no pre-planned carpooling for this hiking. If you want to carpool, please arrange it through the RSVP comments.
We are meeting at the large trailhead parking lot. We are not meeting at the gate where the frontage road turns to dirt. Continue through the gate to the parking lot. Don't forget your Discovery Pass; the fine for not displaying one is $99 :(-.

• Hiking Time: ~ 2.5 hrs.
• Hiking Speed: fast, 30 minutes per mile.
• Parking Pass: Discovery Pass required.
• Dogs: Hikers only this hike.
Schedule and Itinerary:
• 5:30 PM – Meet at the trailhead parking lot.
• 5:35 PM – Start hiking.
• ~ 6:45 PM – Arrive at West Tiger 3, then hike back down the Section or Cable Line Trail.
• ~ 7:45 PM – Arrive back at the trailhead.
What to bring (this is what experienced hikers wear and bring, for comfort both uphill and downhill): Sturdy hiking boots, gaiters, light or medium-weight non-cotton clothing for the uphill, rain jacket, rain pants, warm, dry clothes, preferably fleece, for the downhill, 1+ liters of water, snacks, day-pack large enough to hold all the above. Optional and recommended: hiking poles, camera, waterproof pack-cover.
