Enchantment Backpacking (Snow zone)

My friend have an enchantment permit in the Snow Zone from June 19th to June 22nd. We are looking for someone is interested in joining us, and who can drive, as my friends are college students and they have a tight budget.

Here is our plan:
19th - Drive to TH in the morning and start hiking to Snow Lakes and camp there.
20th - Hike through Core Enchantment Zone, through Aasgard Pass, to Colchuck Lake, and back
21th - Undecided (Climb some peaks)
22nd - Descend and drive back to Seattle.

How was it at Snow and the Core? We are heading up Monday and sure would like to get the skinny on conditions, and any last advice from things you learned on your trip. About how long did it take to get to Snow, and did you go via Nada Lake? And then from Snow Lake, any snow up to the Core, and how long was that hike? Thanks for your help!

I'd really recommend the opposite direction... Just my put. Go in the Stuart Lake TH to Colchuck. Up Aasgard Pass. Check out the upper and middle enchantments, and return. After you drop off the shelf, the area around the Snow Lakes is kind of a slog with less interest and things to see.

Agreed with Mike. No permit required prior June 15.

Ah yeah... That is understandable. It will still be fantastic... Hopefully you have blue skies...

Chee-Wei, Might not not be melted out yet even that low (Aasgard). What are you planning on climbing? Everyone have gear? Pro placement experience?
