Steep Evening Hike: Tiger Mountain Loop

Tradition Plateau Trail Head
This is a great training hike. To start, we will take the Bus Trail, to the Nook Trail and up to the Talus Caves for a break (very cool). Then we will head up the steep Section Line trail to the Tiger 3 Summit and should be back to the parking lot around 7:30. Bring a good flashlight. We will be hiking in the dark for a few hours.
Also, bring traction devices. We will hit snow half way up Tiger 3. We will take the popular Tiger 3 trail back to the parking lot. It gets very icy.
**Directions**
You will take the Highpoint exit off I-90 (Exit 20). Turn right, then right again and double back along I-90. You will drive a short stretch on dirt road to the Upper Lot.
**Note on Fitness**
This is a very steep trail in places. You will need to be involved in regular exercise to enjoy this hike.
A Discover Pass is required at Tradition Lake parking lot.

I learned that the gate to the upper parking lot at Tradition Lake may get closed and locked before we finish our hike. Be sure to park on the street by the gate just before the dirt road up to the Tradition Lake parking lot. I will be parked right by the gate.
