Participation in any activity with Raleigh Weekday Outdoor Activity Group is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, you waive any claims against, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Raleigh Weekday Outdoor Activity Group, it's organizers, affiliates, employees, officers, directors and contractors, from all claims of liability of every type (including court costs and legal fees) for injury or death to any person or for damage to property arising out of or relating to your participation as a member. This agreement applies to you and any other party who may accompany you in these endeavors.
If you wish to be an assistant organizer for the group contact the organizer. Assistant organizers should plan to actively schedule and lead events for the group; organizers who have not scheduled and led at least one event in a period of six months will be removed as an assistant organizer.
Meetup Activity Start Time and Contact Numbers
Members RSVP'ed "Yes" an event are expected to attend the Meetup and the organizer will wait a while past the posted start time for your arrival. Members RSVP'ed "Yes" with a "maybe comment" for an event are not expected to attend the Meetup and the organizer will not wait past the posted start time for your arrival. A contact number will be sent to members which RSVP "Yes" for most Meetups. Please contact the organizer if you have RSVP'ed and have a last minute cancellation. If you have RSVP'ed for a Meetup and are arriving a bit late please contact the organizer and the group will wait a while for your arrival.
No Shows Members
Members who are consistent "No Shows" will be removed from the group and blocked from rejoining. A "No Show" is when a member is RSVP'ed "Yes" but does not show up for the event and does not contact the host.
Members who have attended zero or only one meetup after joining will be removed after being inactive for 6 months. Members who have attended 2 to 4 meetups will be removed after being inactive for 9 months. Members who have attended 5 or more meetups will be removed after being inactive for 12 months. Inactive is defined as not attending a meetup. Inactive members who are removed are welcome to rejoin and the membership title, if any, will be restored.
Count Me In / No Thanks to a New Meetup Announcement
Members do not need to do a "No Thanks" for an event if they do not plan to attend ... a non-response is OK, in fact preferred.
Dogs are welcome at group activities unless otherwise specified. However they must be people friendly and calm around other dogs. For the safety of the group please be sure your dogs are up-to-date on all shots and be sure to have your rabies tag on your dog at all times. Also please be sure to bring bags to clean up after your dog.
Meetup Group Expenses
Meetup costs money ... $90 per six months which the organizer pays. To offset this fee, members are requested to sponsor the group by donating. Each 6 months period 18 members that have donated $5.00 or more are pictured in the "Our Sponors" section on the home page.
