Laurel Bluffs Trail at Eno River State Park

We will hike the Laurel Bluffs & Pump Station Trails, which will have a moderate pace over hilly ups and downs with tree roots and rocky stretches of trail. The distance will be about 5.3 miles round trip on an up and back trail (including backtracking). This hike may take 2.5 - 3.0 hours. We should see fast flowing water over rocky stretches of this stream as we hike along side the Eno River. We will plan on having a lunch/snack break somewhere along the banks of the Eno either after or during our hike, so plan to bring a snack along in your backpack. Directions: From Interstate 85 in Durham, head north on Cole Mill Road to Rivermont Rd. and turn right onto this road. After a short stretch of paved road, the road will become gravel. Go down the first hill and park just past the bridge. See attached map link. Map

Thanks for a great day. I spend a lot of time alone during the week, so it was really nice to have spirited conversation with interesting people. See you again soon.

The deer count was 8! I got them on video and was able to count them. What a beautiful day for a hike! Thanks Ann for organizing and thank you to everyone else for coming out! This truly is a great group!

I had forgotten just how much I enjoyed hiking the Eno trails, especially when the water is up & flowing well. It was a beautiful day, a large turnout, and a good lunch stop along the river...GREAT. Thanks Ann.

Ann, I received the email saying I am reserved but when I looked at the map that came with it...is this the route? http://goo.gl/maps/cbA0U
Not the same place we went to on the recent Eno hike? It just crosses the ENO and doesn't look like it is near the river so wanted to make sure before following it.

Not sure where the map is coming from.. Follow the directions written out in the event description, and you'll get there.

If you want to use a GPS system, input Rivermont Rd, Durham, and it will get you there.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
