Battle Park Hike - Chapel Hill

The Battle Park trail is a great hidden gem in the middle of Chapel Hill. For this event we will plan to hike from the Chapel Hill Community Center across Battle Park to the Forest Theater on the UNC campus and back to the Community Center.

•Level of Hike: Moderate – We will be taking this hike at about 2.5 MPH, which means we won’t be strolling, but we won’t be running either. •Terrain: This hike is on wooded trails and the path has roots and rocks. There are a few hills on this hike, but nothing too strenuous. •Footwear: Hiking boots recommended but sturdy outdoor shoes will do. •Distance: About 5 miles. •Dog Policy: Dogs are allowed on the trail, but must be on a leash no more than 6 feet and only 1 dog per person please. And please be prepared to pick up after any "accidents" on the trail. Remember to bring water with you for this hike. Water and restrooms are available at the Community Center. DIRECTIONS: The Community Center is across and down Estes Drive from University Mall. To get complete directions from your location, use your favorite mapping program and type in the address: 120 S Estes Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.

it was a five star hike even with (what felt like100%) humidity and a few mud puddles - thanks, Ann!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
