We will hike the 7.2 mile Sycamore Trail at a moderate plus pace which should take approx. 2 3/4 hours. This hike is a bit faster pace than we normally hike at. Our nomal hikes are also No-Drop Hikes ... SLOW HIKERS WILL BE LEFT BEHIND ON THIS HIKE. The trail head is at the far end of the last parking lot (second parking lot after the visitor's center) on the Crabtree Creek (Glenwood Ave.- Rt. 70) entrance side of the park. Reference the Umstead State Park Website for park information and trail maps.
