We will hike a total of 5-6 moderate miles out and back along the Eno River. We will start at the West Point on Eno Park entrance which is a half mile north of the main entrance to the park on the left after you cross the Eno River bridge on Roxboro Road, U.S. 501. Note: this entrance is not the main entrance. You must go across the bridge and then turn left into the park. There is a sign for the amphitheater at the entrance. We will hike on the Eagle Trail at West Point on Eno, and then cross over the Guess Rd. bridge to the Laurel Bluffs trail in Eno River State Park.
Be sure to pack snacks and or/lunch. Don't forget to bring plenty of water. We're planning to have lunch in the park area after our hike if the weather cooperates. Look for confirmation of the lunch plans in the information email to be sent to everyone that RSVPs the night before the hike.
