This is about a 4 mile walk. We'll stop for a few minutes to look at the heron nests at each side of the lake. The nests are really hard to see since all the leaves are out but you can hear the many, many baby herons calling out to the parents "Feed me," and when you're lucky see the parents flying in and out of the nests. If you bring binocs you will actually see the nests more easily from the far side of the lake. Bring water and wear sunscreen. Insect repellent not necessary.
