Blue Jay Point County Park Hike - Multiple Short Trails

We'll do a series of two moderately paced short hikes at Blue Jay Point County Park. Each hike will begin and end at the meetup location. The first hike will be 2 miles (approx. 45 minutes), and the second hike will be 3 miles ( approx. 75 minutes). The combined distance of the two hikes will be approx. 5 miles and we'll be finished hiking before 11:30 PM.

Meet in the Blue Jay Center for Environmental Education parking lot. Restroom facilities and park information is available in the Blue Jay Center for Environmental Education Building. View the Blue Jay County Park website for information about the park, park brochure, trail map, and driving directions.

Dogs are OK as long as they are people friendly and on a leash (and experienced in hiking !).

Is this something I may bring my dog on? :) She's a very experienced hiker.

    Hi, Serina and Ricci,
I am afraid this hike is not recommended for very young children and definitely not for strollers. Trails are narrow and slippery with wet leaves covering rocks, roots and little stumps, and there are uphills and downhills. Although the hike is not super fast, it would be difficult for a young child to sustain the pace of a group of adults. Serina, there might be other walking groups for young Moms ?
Ricci, you could walk at the back of the line (we usually walk in a single line) and be prepared to walk back with your child if you are confident about finding the way back but I don't recommend that.
This group sometimes has walks on paved grounds in parks but usually, we then increase our pace to make it a brisk walk.

Is this adult only? Thinking of bringing my 4 y/o on the shorter hike.
