We have a hike which is dog friendly. After the hike we will have a late lunch at Blairstown Inn. Rattlesnake Trail to the AT: The trail proceeds through a dense forest of mountain laurel, hemlock and rhododendron, with the swamp to your left and a secondary ridge beyond. You are now traversing a wild, remote area, and although you probably won’t encounter any rattlesnakes, you are likely to see other wildlife, you’ll reach the base of the 60-foot-high Catfish Fire Tower, which affords panoramic 360° views. On the AT we will follow the rock ledge which afford a panoramic east-facing view over the Great Valley.
Directions: Mohican Outdoor Center is 1.5 hours west of New York's GW bridge following Rt. 80 west and exit 12 north to Blairstown left at Rt 94 watch for signs right after the golf course. At Mohican Outdoor Center go pass the main lodge to parking lot on your left then walk down to the main lodge (leave your packs outside)
