Cross Country Ski Lessons at High Point State Park

In the shadow of the Monument, at the northern tip of New Jersey, is the High Point Cross Country Ski Center. Over 1600 feet in elevation guarantees that High Point is the snowiest spot in the metropolitan area. It's "New England", nearby! Discover an alpine hollow of lakes, trees, wildlife, and sweeping vistas. We will have a late lunch at Sussex Inn

Dress in layers of non-cotton clothing, wear waterproof boots and pants, a hat and gloves, bring water, a packed lunch and/or snacks, and sunglasses

We will be taking Cross Country Ski lessons. Learn the basic or advanced classic or skate techniques needed for flat terrain, up, and down hills. Become familiar with waxing and maintaining ski equipment or choosing the correct clothing for all levels of skiing. Skiing is most fun to those who are better at it".  Tell the instructor your motivation, and they can summarize your accomplishments at the end of the lessons

Cost--Lessons group  $19.00,  Rental of gear  $19.00,  Trail Pass  15.00

We will stop to eat after the lessons.

Can we rent boots, or is it assumed the boots we bring are the ones we'll wear with the skis?

Neil, how do you think the conditions will be with this warm weather? Worth it still?
