Hi Neil and all, we rented our kayaks from the EMS store in Nanuet, NY (since Paramus was already booked)..when we got there, they nixed us, as they couldn't open the store due to a town ordinance that day, of stores not opening until 1pm, what a bummer, needless to say, we traveled all that way for naught. but the good news is we did some assertive exploring and found a kayak rental right off of Greenwood Lake, it was beautiful, got out at 12:45pm went for one hour, then went to lunch at this beautiful Lake front lunch place called Breezy Point, afterall the obstacle, it turned out to be a great day, next time will have to call EMS way ahead. Btw for anybody who doesn't know (cuz i didn't) EMS stands for Eastern Mountain Sports. see ya next time!

And also an FYI for anyone interested, the EMS store in Paramus or anywhere in Bergen County is closed on Sundays due to the (in my opinion) antiquated "Blue Laws."

What beautiful weather and nice friendly people - a bit of a mix-up with the meeting area, so next time hopefully I will have a contact number (Neil or Karin). But we eventually did meet up and kayak together.
