Lime Kiln State Park, Hiking And Whale Watching

Lime Kiln Park is known for having the best spot to see whales.  Aside from this awesome venue, it is a beautiful spot to explore, take pictures and hike to the lighthouse.

My plan is to hang out for some time at the park to both see whales (hopefully) and hike and explore.

So dress warm, bring a blanket, your binoculars, camera and something warm to drink in a thermos (hot tottie).  I am planning to be there for a while.  We can socialize or you can hike to the lighthouse.

We will stop and eat at a restaurant of our choice

It is a long way to get there and we will make the most of it by seeing other sights and just having a great day.

Please be commitment free for the entire day.

I will post more information regarding ferry price and time as we get closer to the event day to assure accuracy.

Hi all. Here is what I have in mind for this event. We will be there for at least 2 hours. Bring folding chairs, blankets, something warm to drink, bino's and a smile on your face. A windbreaker and rain gear is always good to have. Since we are in the car, we can carry it with us. Think WARM.

I have two folding chairs I can bring if someone needs a chair. What kind of hiking are we doing? I have Merrell trail shoes but no hiking shoes yet.

Oftentimes the key to finding whales in that area is too watch for whale spotting boats. If you see them, then whales are usually nearby.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
