Ravenna Park and Ride
NOTE: THIS IS AN EVENT FOR PEOPLE ATTENDING JANUARY 11TH, 2014
I will schedule another event for everyone else
Let’s head down to Mt. Rainier for an intermediate snowshoe. The plan is to start at the Narada Falls view area parking lot, make our way up to Reflection and Louise Lake and then head up to Mazama ridge for great views. Note the elevation gain.
DETAILS: It is a 7 mile round trip, considered more difficult with an elevation gain of 560 feet. Highest point is 6100
IMPORTANT: Will re-schedle trip short notice when avalanche rating is high
"This trail stays right along the edge of timber line, making it one of the most spectacular routes for snowshoers in Mount Rainier National Park. The trail provides a wonderful experience in a winter forest, the chance to visit a frozen alpine lake, and subalpine meadows in which to play and soak up the scenery."
DIRECTIONS: From Ravenna P&R to Narada Falls View Area parking lot
