Hello, this hike was posted on the South Sound Adventure group since the departure point is Tacoma, but I'd be willing to meet anyone that wants to go at the Kingston Ferry on the way out to the peninsula if they don't want to drive down to Tacoma.
This is the WTA's hike of the week and it's supposed to be great weather on Saturday.
hike is 14 miles round trip with 2,650 feet in elevation gain (please
consider if you are in shape for 7 + hours on the trail before adding
yourself to the list)
I will be stopping frequently taking
photographs for a magazine article, (and if there are berries or
mushrooms to forage we'll be doing that too) Speed demons will not
enjoy this hike
Please bring a sack lunch, your ten essentials,
layers of clothing for changing weather , boots that can get wet at
creek crossings and extra socks, and some cash to give your driver for
If you have a Northwest Forest Pass or an America the Beautiful pass, please bring that as well.
Please make sure to have a headlamp or flashlight in case we end up hiking out after the sun goes down.
21 and over only please as we normally stop off for food and an adult beverage after our hikes.
Please leave dogs at home.
I will send out an email with my phone number and carpool locations as soon as I confirm you.
will be leaving Tacoma at 6:00 AM sharp. If you are not at the meeting
location on time, and have not called, we will leave without you.
If you can not make it for some reason or are running late, PLEASE have the courtesy to call so that we are not waiting for you.
*please note that my email has changed to [address removed]
